Zinc Rods & Wires
Pure Zinc for Thermal Spray & Anodes
Overview
High-purity zinc rods and wires (Zn ≥99.9%) for arc-spray thermal coating, sacrificial anodes and galvanising applications — consistent purity ensures uniform coating adhesion and maximum cathodic protection
Handle with adequate ventilation — zinc fume hazard during thermal spraying

Properties
Manufacturing Process
Step 1
High-Purity Zinc Ingot
Special high-grade (SHG) zinc ingots (Zn ≥99.99%) are sourced and certified by independent chemical analysis.
Step 2
Melting & Casting
Ingots melted at 420–450 °C in an induction furnace; melt filtered to remove dross; continuously cast into wire rod or billet form.
Step 3
Wire Drawing
Zinc rods drawn through lubricated dies at controlled temperature to final wire diameter (1.6–4.0 mm for spray wire; 5–25 mm for rods).
Step 4
Straightening & Cutting
Rods straightened on a rotary straightener; cut to standard lengths (500 mm, 1000 mm) and end-faced for smooth spray-gun feed.
Step 5
Wire Coiling
Fine wire coiled onto plastic or metal spools compatible with major arc-spray and flame-spray equipment systems.
Step 6
QC & Certification
Zinc purity verified by ICP-OES per EN 1179 / ASTM B6; diameter and surface inspected; batch certificates and safety data sheets issued.
