Aluminium Welding Wire
WELDING-WIRE

Aluminium Welding Wire

MIG / TIG Aluminium Welding Wire

Overview

Precision-drawn aluminium welding wires for MIG and TIG applications — consistent chemistry and tight diameter tolerances ensure smooth arc transfer, low spatter and high-quality weld deposits

Store in dry conditions; use within recommended shelf life to prevent oxide pick-up

Manufacturing Process

Step 1

Alloy Preparation

High-purity aluminium ingots and alloying additions (Si, Mg) are batched to tight composition targets required by AWS A5.10 / EN ISO 18273.

Step 2

Continuous Casting

Molten alloy continuously cast into rod; rapid solidification ensures a fine grain structure ideal for subsequent cold drawing.

Step 3

Multi-pass Wire Drawing

Rod progressively drawn through tungsten-carbide dies to final wire diameter (0.8–3.2 mm) in multiple cold-drawing passes with intermediate anneals.

Step 4

Surface Cleaning

Wire surfaces cleaned and lubricated with weld-compatible drawing oil; bright, oxide-free finish verified before spooling.

Step 5

Spooling

Wire precision-wound onto plastic or steel spools in standard weights (0.5–15 kg) with controlled traverse for tangle-free payoff during welding.

Step 6

QC & Certification

Chemistry verified by OES; tensile, elongation, and diameter checked per lot; AWS / ISO compliance certificates issued with every shipment.
